Enable the Quillio Integration in OneLaw

Overview

The Quillio integration allows your firm to connect OneLaw with Quillio, an external AI legal assistant for New Zealand law firms.

Once enabled, Quillio can work with documents held in OneLaw matters. Users can connect a Quillio workspace to a OneLaw matter, sync matter documents into Quillio, and manage documents created in Quillio back to the relevant OneLaw matter.

Note: Your firm must have a Quillio account before enabling this integration. OneLaw Support must also configure the Quillio licence for your firm before the integration can be enabled in OneLaw. This integration is available to cloud-hosted firms only.

Who can do this

Only OneLaw users with System Administrator access can enable integrations.

Before you start

Before enabling the Quillio integration, make sure:

  • Your firm has an active Quillio account.
  • You’ve contacted OneLaw Support to configure the Quillio licence for your firm.
  • Your firm is running version 4.3.0.5510 or later of OneLaw.
  • You are ready to create a strong signing key (password) to use for the integration.

Steps

  1. Open Integrations
    • In OneLaw, go to the Administration tab on the navigation ribbon.
    • Click Integrations.

  2. Enable the OneLaw Cloud Public API, if required
    • If OneLaw Cloud Public API is not already enabled, toggle it on.

    • When prompted, click Yes to confirm.

      Result: Authorised applications and configured services can connect to OneLaw through the OneLaw Cloud Public API.
       
  3. Open the Quillio authorised application
    • In the Authorised Applications table, double-click the Quillio Integration row.

  4. Allow API access
    • Tick Allow application to use OneLaw Cloud API.
    • Click Save & Close.

      Result: Quillio is authorised to use the OneLaw Cloud Public API.
       
  5. Open the Quillio webhook subscription
    • In the Webhook Subscriptions table, double-click the Quillio row.

  6. Configure the Quillio webhook subscription
    • Tick Allow webhook subscriptions to receive notifications.
    • The URL field is pre-populated with the correct Quillio webhook address. Leave it unchanged unless Quillio advises otherwise.
    • In the Signing Key field, enter a strong signing key (password).
      Important Note: Keep a record of the signing key you enter here. You'll need to enter this same key when you set up the Quillio side.
    • Click Save & Close.

      Note: The Name, Description, and subscribed Events (Documents) are pre-set for the system-defined Quillio row and cannot be changed.

Result

You've now completed the Quillio integration setup on the OneLaw side.

The integration isn't fully enabled until the Quillio side is set up. The signing key you created is a shared password, and both OneLaw and Quillio must hold the same key before document changes in OneLaw are sent to Quillio.

Once the Quillio side has been set up, users can connect Quillio workspaces to OneLaw matters and sync matter documents from within Quillio. Documents created in Quillio can also be managed back to the relevant OneLaw matter.
