Overview
OneLaw V4.3.1 includes improvements to how identity verification results from APLYiD are received and matched. To support these changes, the Webhook Bearer Token used by the APLYiD integration needs to be refreshed when your firm upgrades.
The token held in OneLaw and the token set in your firm's APLYiD portal must be the same. Refreshing means generating a new token in OneLaw and setting that same token in your APLYiD portal. This article explains how, so your verification results keep arriving in OneLaw without interruption after the upgrade.
Important Note: Refresh the token before your firm is upgraded to OneLaw V4.3.1. It only takes a few minutes and needs doing once. This step is required even if a token is already set in your APLYiD portal. If the token in OneLaw and the token in APLYiD do not match after the upgrade, your APLYiD verification results will not be received in OneLaw.

Who can do this
System Administrators.
Before you start
Before you start, check that:
- Your firm uses the APLYiD integration in OneLaw for identity verification
- You have System Administrator access in OneLaw
- You can sign in to your firm's APLYiD portal and open its developer area, where the webhook is configured
Steps
-
Generate and copy a new token in OneLaw
- In OneLaw, go to the Administration tab.
- Select Integrations to open the Integrations Settings page.
- In the Web Services section, double-click the APLYiD row to open the APLYiD Configuration screen.
- Find the Webhook Bearer Token field.
- Select the refresh icon beside the field (two arrows forming a circle). This generates a new token.
- Select the copy icon beside the field (two overlapping pages). A Copied message confirms the token is on your clipboard.
- Select Save.
Result: OneLaw stores the new token and the screen closes. The token is on your clipboard, ready to paste into your APLYiD portal.
-
Paste the token into your APLYiD portal
- Sign in to your APLYiD portal.
- Go to Preferences, then Developers.
- Scroll to the Web Hook Configuration section.
- Leave the Hook URL unchanged.
- Check the Auth method is set to Bearer token.
- In the Token field, paste the token you copied from OneLaw. This replaces any token already there.
- Select Save.
Result: Your APLYiD portal now uses the same token as OneLaw.
Note: After pasting, check there are no extra spaces at the start or end of the value. The tokens must match exactly, including upper and lower case.
Result
Once you have refreshed the token in OneLaw and set the same token in your APLYiD portal, your firm is ready for the OneLaw V4.3.1 upgrade. APLYiD verification results will continue to be received and matched in OneLaw after the upgrade, with no further action needed.
