OneLaw Development Roadmap April 2026

Overview

The OneLaw product is continuously developed to align with customer feedback and evolving technologies. This roadmap outlines the major improvements we aim to deliver over the next 6-12 months, along with our current plans beyond that period. Smaller enhancements and features that aren't listed below are also released throughout these timelines.

This roadmap is flexible and subject to change based on feedback, technological advancements, and shifting priorities. We are committed to remaining responsive and ensuring the direction of our product continues to align with the changing needs of our customers.

Next 6 Months

Area Summary
AML/CFT We will look to complete a review and refresh of our AML/CFT capability and simplify workflow for our users.
Client and Matter Management There will be improvements to the management of clients and their related parties.
Outlook To prepare for the eventual retirement of the classic Outlook application, we will
develop the first stage of our add-in capabilities to support the new Outlook and
Outlook for Web.

Next 6-12 Months

Area Summary
AI Tools

We will be investigating an initial integration of AI capabilities in the following areas:

  • Document categorisation
  • Content extraction
  • Search
Following this, we will seek feedback from our customer base on how this can evolve and improve.
Document Management

Further improvements to document management will include:

  • Inbuilt PDF editor - introduce common PDF editing functions into the OneLaw application
  • Improved document searching, particularly Advanced Search
  • Document organisation including enhancements to categories and/or folders

Beyond 12 Months

Area Summary
Mobile App We will work closely with our customers to provide a mobile application for time recording purposes.
Reporting

Improvements to reporting will include:

  • Enhancing existing reports
  • Introducing new reports
  • Enabling customers to build their own custom reports with data stored in OneLaw
Split Ledger We will introduce the ability to operate the trust account as either a combined or split ledger.
Timesheet Improvements

We will look to expand our current time recording capabilities to include:

  • Graphical representation for daily targets
  • Multiple timesheet views
Trust Accounting and Billing

Improvements in these areas will likely include:

  • Including draft bills in the trust ledger
  • Allowing WIP to be written off without entering the billing process
  • Introducing the ability to correct incorrect transactions at any stage
User Experience and Navigation Improvements We will refresh the user interface in OneLaw and improve searching and navigation across the application.
